Best time to hit the 'Reduced To Clear' section?

I knew I'd never leave by my mid 20's tbf, I like other places but they aren't home. When the x4 bus rolls in to kettering after a trip away I get an 'ah thats better' feeling. Like I've had to be on lock elsewhere and I didn't know it till I got home and the nameless tension drains out. #lackinginaspiration
Town centre has been pimped hard since your days here, its still waste but it looks good. Not sure how we are maintaining four tatoo parlours though. How many tatoos do 15,000 odd people need?

Local Waitrose has set up an official shelf for this, it's labelled Special Reductions, and a sign implores shoppers to help Waitrose cut waste.

Sainsbury's advertised it on the tanoy 'many items half price'. I was all 'ssh it's my secret'.

Last TB finds were in Waitrose, got chilli chicken wings with a Korean sauce for 79p and lemon sole gougons for £1.49. Normal price for both about £8.

I've discovered a Tesco near me does reductions every day around 3pm, if you can get there before the post-school rush then you can so much good stuff. The other day I got two pots of hummus for 20p, four pizza reduced from £4 each to 99p each and four loaves of 40p bread.

I keep on being beat to the tb at Waitrose by a sour-faced pair of fucks with a copy of the mail in their basket. I think i hate them more than I hate anyone else in the world.

I know it's a bit of a cliché but really the people with a copy of the Daily Mail in supermarkets really are the angriest, nastiest people. Makes you wonder how many people buy it because they are angry stick up the arse fucks by nature or whether the Daily Mail makes them that way, although it's probably a bit of both.

Nobody is an angry stick up the arse by nature, something made them that way. Not the DM though - while there's a feedback loop of sorts going on, it reflects and amplifies it's readers views rather than creates them.

This new section has sadly turned what was a sophisticated sport for connoisseurs into a sometimes unseemly scrum.

So are you victoriously trotting home with the booty having viciously elbowed the great and the good of Waitrose out of your way or are you whimpering in a corner empty-handed, blood colouring your vision as it dribbles down your visage?

I've been pondering the wisdom of becoming vegetarian this week, so of course the tramps buffet was a fountain of meat tonight.

2 rabbits
2 partridges
a bag of mixed game chunks
a load of smoked salmon

also a big bottle of posh lemonade cordial, some potatoes, some runner beans and some baps, all for 7 quid.

My BF is vegetarian, the bargain hunter in me secretly hates his vegetarianism because all the amazing bargains lately are MEATY. :D It feels like he is letting the team down! :D

The abundant bargains of veggies don't count because I have always scored them anyway.

Since I've stopped buying meat and fish the bargains just haven't been of the same calibre. There's fridges I just don't bother looking in any more

Has Waitrose gone shit for everyone? I've had nothing of interest in my local for weeks. Dunno how I'd eat if booths hadn't stepped up to the plate.

I had a brussels pate for 75p and three mini (almost criminally mini imo) chocolate grenache pudding things for 85p. This was from ever reliable Nisa stores, they had some laughing cow cheese in there as well, but even if its cheap its still bland shite processed cheese even if it is discounted. So I left that for someone else

I went there in the afternoon this week and there were loads of premium quiches reduced to half price,

I grabbed 4 of them for the freezer and because they were also part of a 'buy 3 for 2' deal I got an additional £2.50 off.

I just got 2 venison steaks for £2.15 - the sudden dip in temperature is making me crave meat! Will have them tomorrow while the fella is out
