Anyone going to this with kids?

I am going with a friend and also taking my 7-year old son. If anyone with similar aged child in tow wanted to meet up might be fun for the kids.

The Living End, who aren't well known here, are fantastic btw.

Have a great weekend.

Great - as part of the official set up?

I see there is an area on the website - looks really good.

We're not parents, but having seen Ground Elder's kids area at several festies, most recently Sunrise Celebration in May, I can vouch for it being excellent for the littluns with lots to do and play .... :)

I think its part of the official BD setup yeah :)

Oh yes, we're all legit and above board :D We provide an extra kids' space in the family camping fields separate from the main kids' area.

My son is going to go nuts for all of this. He is a big fan of the Levs and TLE too.

He's also very keen on Crazy Frog and the Sugababes but I understand neither could make it.

William and others, fancy a U75 cider?

Yay its getting closer!!!

Although the weather forecast is looking dodgier.
Any news on whether the car park fields will be better adapted to the mud this year?
Not meaning to be a moaner, its just I don't know if my dad will let me borrow the car again if its gonna come back in the same state as last year. I had it valet cleaned and everything but he had to take it to have the baked on mud chipped off the brake discs

Looking forward to the line up very much! :D

Sods Law in a good way suggests that just as the MetO downgrade their medium term forecast, we actually might end up with a better mini spell later in the month  <-- speculation.

Definitely still far too early to say really though. As an amateur festival meteorologist (I go to specialist sites so you don't have to) I'd say chances of a pleasant non washout are 50/50 at worst, possibly better odds than that, at this early stage. We'll see!

I don't know whether carpark drainage has been done at BD or whether more towing tractors have been organised but they certainly should be. If only on the basis that if you prepare for shit weather then just like with Michael Eavis's recent tens of 1000s of £££s spent on better drainage at Pilton, then you get some dry festivals!

I want Sods Law to work positively as well as negatively ... :D

been asked to play this, but i'll have done 3 festivals in the previous 4 weekends and I'm not sure I can be arsed..

I need some festie time now
Car thing is a pain but not gonna let it stop us going.
The only thing that can stop us going is El Jefe not playing.

Yep...

Pleased I have Thursday off otherwise I would only have three evening to write lists, get supplies, do inventory, pack, collect car and sleep :)

Quite a lot of planning for what essentially amounts to getting pissed in a field.

I tend to turn up to festivals with a pack of wet wipes, some condoms and a roll of twenties . . .

This is my preferred format too ^ ^

Sadly we do not have a roll of twenties so gotta try and get as much cheap beer, food, cooking/eating equipment into a car that we need to collect from Kent on the Thursday.

This time next week we will be in said car :D
