Best weekend I've had in a long long time! Loved all the dressing up, the people were really nice that we met and our neighbours were ace! Impressed by the relative cheapness of the festival beers and foods! Journey to clitheroe and back was pretty plain sailing too. Nice to meet some urns like Shirl, Sojorner and co by Trailor Trash... Only prob was we lost our mate Keith?! Did anyone see or hear about our mate Keith? What a legend!

Saw on Beatherder forum that you'd got it back - am sooo pleased for you. Looked for you Sunday night - we were down at the main stage for a large part of it, glad you had a good time

The woman in the office made me describe it. She laughed when i said it was really battered, lens cap broken, lost when my bag was caught in the legs of a conga, only realised it was lost when i wanted a pic of Mr Motivator! Said i described it and where i lost it perfectly

Looked for you again on Sunday night too

BTW Someone on the Beatherder boards is looking for a black scarf lost in the WMC on Friday night...

Brilliant weekend! Managed to get some work for the Sunday at the last minute for my ticket

Loved the brass band playing early 90s rave tunes (what kind of twisted mind thinks of these things??) The Prodigy tribute band were funny as fuck, Dub Pistols were amazing...Monkey Wrenchers had the place jumping (good work Tim & co!), and Captain Hotknives was as brilliant as always. Did anyone see that Baraka film on the Sat night? Blew me away!

Only downside was my mate being beaten up and robbed by the security after losing his wristband on the Sunday, then getting arrested for trying to defend himself...there was bloody 4 of them trying to batter him! Sheer thuggery! From what i can gather there's going to be a helluva lot of complaints about them this year, they got in a lot of peoples faces for little or no reason...walking round like they were in some American cop show and pushing people around. No need.

Apart from that a wicked weekend was had, met some sound people and i'll be going every year from now on.

Good summary! Aceness as ever, yep I met that poor bloke as he just got back from his experience, seemed a nice lad, took it well. What a bunch of twats. Saw one with a night stick... fuck's sake.

Lets hope they change security for next time anyway, still.... was probably me festy of the year as usual!

Late on Friday night I saw about 5 security blokes manhandling a woman into a landrover and then driving off, she was shouting and seemed frightened but I don't know what had gone on before. At the same time another 5 security had a bloke pinned to the ground with his arms behind his back

Other than that and seeing what appeared to be them changing shift with about 60 of them walking across the top of the site, near Trailer Trash, I wasn't aware of seeing any others.

Deary me, that were a bit of alright!

Monkeywrenchers fucking ROCKED the WMC (sorry we missed the main stage, but that early night went a bit askew heh), best band of the whole weekend imo, Toiltrees was just one huge big daft grin and a fair bit of dancing, the weather was fucking stunning, we made another 150 best mates, the Beatherder crowd showed once again that that place is the friendliest most munted place on the planet for one weekend in a year, and I am still floating

As usual, prices for everything were low, and the 2 double brandies I ordered in the WMC on Sunday had to be slimmed to 2 singles, because the fucking doubles were about a third of a pint

Soz about failing to attend the 6pm on Friday meet I'm usually completely pants at remembering stuff like that... haha we were probably stood next to each other or summat.

Was funny Sunday evening walking round - Broken Beat-herder Everyone stumbling round with a daft grin, barely able to walk, me sounding like Scooby fucking Doo having broken my voice on Saturday

I saw Pursuedbybears a whole 2 times - once when we waved across a crowded WMC, and once on the Monday, slightly broken and unable to find our cars

Aye, true. The only ones i heard about were the ones who carted my mate off!

Some good news tho...

With the issues of aggressive security guards, we did hear some of the reports over the weekend and in fact were subjected to aggression ourselves. It was though all from one particular security guard and the team he worked with, all of which were from a small York based agency, hired in by Diamond. The incident outside the box office was witnessed by our staff here and we were all on it straight away.

The individual guard was immediately taken off shift by Diamond management and has basically been sent packing. Diamond will now never use him or any one else from his agency again. The names and numbers have now been passed to the SIA, and to various other event security firms. We're told this is a very effective way of removing them from this part of the security industry.
