In fact, factor in how long the first person had to wait for everyone else to get out, and then how quickly Keely had to run and get herself set up, that does feel like it actually could potentially impact the race.

Yep, 800m is a difficult one tactically as if you’re at the back or get boxed in you can have too much to do in too little time

I think she'll really go for it now as she has ticked this one off and finally got that global gold. There was half a thought it might go here but the gold was the only thing that mattered and she achieved that brilliantly.

Yeah, Michael Johnson made the good point that when you're running the 200/400m, you're in a lane so really what other people do or don't do doesn't really affect you. But with the 800m etc, getting in the wrong place or the actions of others can completely screw you so you have to think about and be aware of all that too, rather than just concentrating pm your own race.
