The only game I managed to get to last season was the one against Villa at the Emirates. So I was worried about today.

Great result tbf. Absolutely rock-solid defence, can you believe that in some pre-match combined 11s, Spuds pundits like O’Hara were swapping out Gab for Romero. Clueless. Sure we’ll be prettier when Ode and Rice are back, but that was still weirdely comfortable for a NLD when we’re missing two of our biggest names.

No, not great news.
But being a glass-half-full type, I do think it gives other players, maybe other systems a chance. Let’s see if Nwaneri’s really ready, Calafiori looks a beast if he ‘s fit – which, by reports, he is, Timber’s a baller, Jesus could turn up, Martinelli has to hit some form sooner or later, Trossard’s reliable (from the bench), Rice is back. And our defence is sorted. So, no, hate the fact that Odegaard is out, and that we’ve got some tough games round the corner, but it makes it interesting.
