Bit of a different start to my year. My mate has lived in the same place since he was knee high. And this pond has always been there and he's worked all his life to maintain it, landscape it etc etc.
This is when we fished it easily 12 years ago and I managed to catch the old koi called Nemo.
He had a JCB up to work on it today as it has silted up over the years, all the fish have gone and we want to get it back to a pond with the natural fish it's always had in it, roach, skimmers, perch etc
Lots done, lots more to do. Some before and after shots.
First actual fishing trip is in the pipeline, piking with Martha
I hope everyone has tight lines, wet nets, buzzing reels and good times this year on the banks and shores
