Rollem is not at work today and has asked me to post this.........

11.00am Saturday 22 May,
Regents Park
Meeting place is regents park tube station, by the bus stop. easiest all round. if you are gonna be late, give me a ring (let me know if you need my (Rollem's) mobile number) dont forget to bring a bottle of water....

Good stuff - I've passed on fish and chips + rhubarb crumble and custard today.

At this rate my stomach will be smaller than Rollem's in a few weeks! Something to aim for!

afternoon all! Nice to see you've all altered your taglines, team spirit innit. Tony you cracked me up with that stuff you posted when you were pished! And Chris well done on the food selection!

To pick up a few points:

- Corners etc, yes good idea re: the low cross, I think we should work on these, and also set pieces in general. We should defo have a few routines up our sleeve. All ideas welcome. I'm not bad at a Beckham-like free kick. Speed is of the essence - you can really catch people out with a quickly taken free-kick, throw in etc.

- Which brings me to the rules. Rollem, ahem I mean, gaffer, have you had confirmation on the rules yet? I think we need to know goal sizes, pitch size, subs and squad size rules, whether it's thrown-ins or kick ins etc, whether there is a semi-circular area where you cant go (like in 5 a side) and so on.

As for tomorrow, I'm gonna have to see how I feel before playing. I played 90 mins full-on 5 a side last night with some mates who are really good players. This week so far I've played Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, together with cycling to work everyday. I am totally fucked today and can hardly walk. My knees hurt, my feet are buzzing and I've got bruises all up my shins and calfs. I'm starting to realise what the pros are complaining about when they say they play too many games! If I come, it might just have to be some goalie action. I'll see how it goes.

TheThe Reds of Ferrari.... derail

The Ferrari Formula 1 Team fired their entire pit crew yesterday.

The announcement followed Ferrari's decision to take advantage of the
Government's Youth Opportunity scheme and employ people from Liverpool.

The decision to hire them was brought on by a recent documentary on how
unemployed youths from the Liverpoolarea were able to remove a set of
wheels in less than 6 seconds without proper equipment, whereas Ferrari's
existing crew can only do it in 8 seconds with millions of euros worth of
high tech equipment.

Tony Blair went on record as saying this was a bold move by the Ferrari
management, which demonstrated the international recognition of the UKunder
New Labour.

As most races are won and lost in the pits, Ferrari now have an advantage
over every team. However, Ferrari may have got more than they bargained for.
At the crew's first practise session, the Liverpool pit crew successfully
changed the tyres in under 6 seconds, and then within 12 seconds they had
re-sprayed, re-badged, and sold the vehicle to the McLaren team for 8
bottles of Stella, a kilogram of speed and some photos of Coulthard's bird
in the shower.

i had a bowl of special k with bananas chopped up on top.. was nice, but it wasn't a curry.

I would have thought you had enough special K after the night at my place. ;)

If it really is a 3/4 length pitch, then drilled corners won't be as effective as in 5-a-side.

I'm not sure it'll be possible to get pitch length and stuff. I'm trying to work out how they'll sort the logistics of it when they are just turning up to play! I'm glad I'm not organising!

:)

I wish we were playing footie tonight.

Went boxing last night so am a little stiff today - could only do four rounds of skipping, but did two rounds full on pads, four rounds full on bag work and 15 minutes on step machine and 15 mins on bike ride.

Can't wait til tomorrow.

We gonna play in designated positions tomorrow?

Boxing is for soft cocks but maybe not in your case with your little stiff. Football is a real game. :) :p :p

I wish we were playing tonight as well.. anyone up for it? ;)

You just watch, I'm gonna play a blinder tomorrow..

I fancy it tomorrow as well, tbh. A mate from my works is gonna tag along with us tomorrow - I want at least 7 of us to play so we can get used to our positions.

Looking forward to it. Am getting sharper in every game I play.

lol! Ha ha. :D

Too be honest, I thought I put in a good show at boxing last night, this football training is having a good effect!

It's all about that word - the one that I forget - sprint training? Fuck knows what it's called - but it's doing me good!

I might appear tomorrow to watch (before heading off to see the FA cup final since walking too much - a la London walk - won't be very comfortable (sodding feet). May be coming slightly later because I'll be buying some silly shoes too...

anyone up to anything interesting tonight? I'm bored, and don't wanna go down the pub with my mates, cos they're pissing me off, through no fault of their own..
