Albion Rovers introduce 'pay-what-you-can' season tickets

heinous seamus

Perfect in an empty room
Minimum is a tenner. Apparently they've already raised the same amount they made on season ticket sales last year. A great initiative. Mine's on the way!

Apparently Rovers had 100 season tickets holders last season, paying £140 a pop = £14 grand

As of Friday, Rovers had 300 season ticket holders, paying an average of £70 a pop = £21 grand.

a resounding success so far and fair play to the club. Rovers have always been a diddy team but they really have worked hard the last few seasons to rebuild the club, after a near-death experience around 2005. Cliftonhill is a real dump but much effort is going to be focused on improving facilites there in the next few seasons.

Got to say I really love this... Brilliant marketing and thinking... All lower league clubs take note!
