Tourist air travel is set to expand phenomenally. That's the trouble. It all needs scaling back.

It's not in my power and you may have noticed that I'm not claiming to have any total solutions. Nor do I think for one minute that climate change is not a complex problem. But we should be able to talk about such things without being accused of trying to harm the developing world. Any change we make to cope with climate change will hurt someone, millions of someones, if that change is uncontrolled and selfishly implemented.
