A film for every day of the year

I'm not the arbiter of this thread, but I do think that dates in films that are documentaries, biopics and/or dramatisations of true events are a bit cheaty and too easy.

E.g. First Man shouldn't count, as it's a dramatisation of real events, whereas 1999 film, A Walk on the Moon is a drama that happens to be set at the same time as the moon landings, but is primarily a work of fiction, so should count.

I agree, and I think the order of quality is something like this:

1. Completely fictional event dated by diegetic evidence
2. Fictional event, the date of which can be inferred from historical events/context
3. Historical event

Although I don't exactly like that I agree, I do nevertheless agree.
