You can't advance egalitarianism while at the same time persuing a pro-business agenda that has seen economic inequality widen increasingly over the past thirty years.
You should have a gander at the David Harvey book I keep recommending to people. He points out that neo-liberalism in practice often means the expansion of state power, but an expansion that serves to benefit capital.
...label them "right-wing" and, incredibly, "conservative". Instead of running around trying to re-nationalize everything, focus on the cultural war you're really interested in, box clever on the economy, and advance egalitarianism on the quiet.
I think the politicalcompass just lost true...
Let's do it on a bulletin board level: If you filled in the PoliticalCompass for the Labour government, they'd be right of the y axis, and above the x axis.
I don't agree mate. If you're a competitive selfish creature then perhaps you're a political being. I don't think there's any politics out of love and empathy for life. In fact, i'd say politics, and being political, is what happens when there is an absence of love and empathy and compassion for...
It's worse than that. No other party would get coverage all day if a little rally was cancelled weeks in advance. No other party gets coverage if they win or nearly win a ward bye-election.
The BBC has a vile fetish for fascism, I keep saying it but this seems structural to the establishment...
They are already gaining legitimacy. A spokesman was interviewed on Radio 4 after their last success in Swanley. The interviewer did not ask questions such as 'do you believe that only white people can be truly British?' or 'how do you intend to represent the ethnic minorities in your ward?'...
How about you engage with what I'm actually saying rather than trying to make pyschological evaluations of my ego your are evidently not qualified to attempt?
You're the one getting het up attempting the most radical posture. If your politics are so feeble or fucked-up you think compassion for a dead child would be a concession or implies buying into some image, perhaps you might consider your "perspective." There's nothing radical about being a twat...

I have the free booklet in my pocket with all the rooms... :o
In summary:
Room 1: Painting 1917-18. Rodchenko explores textures, Popova's Painterly Architectonics use strong colours and jostling geometric shapes to get the energy of the architectonic into 2d work.
Room 2: Graphic works...
...for instance it was only since the Mid-Nineteenth centaury that it begin to be associated with communism and socialism. The Politicalcompass is a vast improvement that if adopted more widely would raise the level of general understanding.
The original article is not very well done as...
it's becase the politicalcompass is a flawed idea. State ownership of industry is something that has been carried out by all sorts of regimes from Mussolini to the Labour Party (see the recent bank bailouts). It has most often been a way of protecting industries for the benefit of capitalists...
...regulations, no government intervention in the marketplace and far left as being a command economy, then you could argue that Hitler was on this scale towards the left.
However really we should be looking at it from a politicalcompass style layout:

...Nazi Party's creed was a combination of racialism and statism, and any ideology that served this end was dragooned into service?
Makes sense. They were deranged. Perhaps it would help everyone if all sides agreed to leave the Nazi Party off the politicalcompass. Godwin's Law par excellence!
...but are unconsciously cultural Leftists in habits of mind, behaviour and speech.
(Incidentally, I realise that the phrase "cultural Left" is, strictly, nigh-on-meaningless. That's what comes of defining your politicalcompass by the seating arrangements of the Assemblée Nationale...
