What other 'isms' do people face when looking to join bands? I imagine that a Chinese Thora Hird type woman wanting to join a boy band like One Direction could face ageism, sexism and racism?

It's what I heard. Then again, I also heard a rumour that back in the 70s Thora Hird was a flag carrier at a British Movement demo, so I can't really trust my sources!

I guess an accordion player looking to join a heavy metal band would face instrumentism. A person with no tongue seeking to join a choir might face tonguism.

I suppose this is possible. I didn't see Thora, but she's not a big woman, and may have been crouched down, lest she be recognised - A hit and run conviction would have meant the loss of her contract with Stannah Stairlifts.
