That was in response to your comment, since clearly EVERY person who goes one stop has a really good reeson.

But the fact still stands that I see LOADS of people go one stop. I have people at work who freely admit it aswell, eventhough it actaully is more hassle. I am not making this stuff up, sure there are some genuinely good reasons, but on the whole plenty of pople are just clogging the system up unnecessariliy.
Look, either it is easier or isn't. If it is easier then there is your reason. If that reason isn't good enough for you then tough, because you don't know what it is like to be them. You don't know what else they do that is maybe harder than what you do that justifies to them taking this easy option.

If it isn't easier then you really need something other than "they are lazy" as your reason.

Yes

I see it with my own eyes.

I have also stated that I know people personally who admit to going just one stop. They are fit and healthy (no gammy legs), but clearly you know better.

Did you grow up in London? Why do you hate it so?
I grew up just outside it but with all my Grandparents living here, so that I pretty much spent every weekend in London. Later on I had a lot of friends on the outer reaches of North London, which meant spending a lot of time both on those outer reaches and also further in.

I hate it because it is everything I hate about modern society wrapped into one overcrowded, smelly, unpleasant, concrete-and-plastic, KFC-and-McDonalds, grime-on-the-walls bundle.

Oh well, if you know that they are fit and healthy then that's all she wrote.

You work in Docklands yes? You should put the catamaran in your commute whilst there's still early evening light... does wonders for the soul.

Where do you pick that up from? Could be worth a go. Although, as I remember, you can't use your travelcard?

It's surprising to me that you have spent all this time in London but never used the buses.

For what it's worth I think you have to live in London for a bit to appreciate most of what's on offer. And find the right part of London for you. And when I say "in London" I mean in zones 1 or 2, or maybe 3 at a stretch.

You can use it but you just get 1/3 off the regular fare; it's not fully included. It tends to be about £3 a journey depending where you're going.

It's pretty good in the dark too - especially going past the Docklands with all the towers reflected in the river.

Yep. Can be cheaper still if you buy a book of tickets.

Kabbes... When I worked there I'd use it once or twice a week as a treat. And deliberately go the long way home to maximise my time on it. :) It goes from, umm, well, just follow the street level signs... and there's a bar just by the pier that does 1/2 price Stella happy hour. Tables outside, river view, never rammed with the city boys, and a pint for £1.70!

(and there's a bar on the boat too... no booze ban on the cat :) )
