Worst film ever? Nominations?

I have had a bit of bad news lately, so I decided to scroll through my Sky box for a film to watch to cheer myself up.

However, it was DOA: Dead on Arrival on ITV1.

Not only was it one of the worst films I have ever seen, ITV crashed into ads mid fight scenes - though to be fair they didn't cut it like they usually do, though it started recording at 11:35pm according to my Sky box.

Anything else?

For me, there are actually only two winners in this category, discounting extreme B movies.

Battlefield Earth and Street Fighter.

Battlefield Earth

We've done this thread a million times and Battlefield Earth always wins, deservedly so.

Recently I've watched some awful films though. Mega-shark vs giant octopus and Zombie Strippers spring immediately to mind, but both are b-movies and are almost fun in a so-bad-its-good way.

Daylight also gets a special mention, Viggo Mortensen is trapped in a tunnel that has caved in and is trying to find a way out, someone tells him escape is impossible and he says "I was born six weeks premature, my own mother couldn't keep me in!" which I love for its utter crassness

I'm totally missing the point of the thread, I know, but I just have this weird love of really bad films.

*sent to corner for missing point of thread* :)

haha! I watched Mega Shark v Giant Octopus on Sunday. I done it to piss Moonpig off.. she hadn't been to bed and was spangled :D

When I was at college I volunteered at the student newspaper. One of the first things I tried was a stint as a film reviewer. The first film I was sent to was the worst film I have ever seen, to this day.

The Blue Lagoon.

They swim naked over coral reefs (which was the tag line on the posters). Then they bloody swim naked over coral reefs. Then they bloody swim naked over bloody coral reefs. After that they bloody swim bloody naked over bloody coral reefs. Finally they bloody swim bloody naked over bloody coral bloody reefs.

The second film I was sent to review was Porky's. I got the message and eventually became news editor.

Ok Ok :p

A bit more on topic, a friend made me watch one of those Twilight films a while back and it was so bad it made me angry.

So you're a new girl at a school and there's this guy who is totally weird and seems to be following you around a bit. Then you're in a cafe together and he 'accidentally' lets slip that he hears peoples' thoughts and your first reaction is one of calm acceptance? I fucking think not.

 at that whole series

Still gonna be Battlefield Earth, but Ghost Rider comes a very close second. Nicolas Cage needs to be shot out of a cannon, into the sun,

I found 'Eyes Wide Shit' genuinely hard to watch. I mean, each minute that passed cost me a part of my soul. I probably only lasted 10 or 12 minutes.

my blueberry nights is pretty damn awful, haven't seen battlefield earth but from the trailer alone i can tell it is abysmal

Agree with Ann on league of extraordinary gentlemen, I had an ex girlfriend who made me watch it on dvd as she thought it was an amazing film, it was then I decided she was a moron. I mean the signs had been there all along really.
Id nominate the Batman film with Arnold schwarnegger as Mr freeze. Only time I have ever walked out of the cinema

Waterworld is the only film I have fallen asleep in the cinema during. Awfull.

The transporter with Jason Strathem (?) was so bad people were looking round in the cinema to check other peoples reactions to see if it was a joke.
I've heard there are a few more

Another vote for Battlefield Earth. I enjoying laughing at bad films but Battlefield Earth transcends all that and is just mind numbingly awful.

Dance of the Dead made me angry for wasting my bandwidth downloading it.

Oh oh oh

And GI Joe. That was an awful movie. I couldn't believe my eyes.

Ive also fallen asleep while attempting to watch The Assassanation of Jessie James 3 times now
