Hak finally seems to have established a preferred starting XI, with just one change from the previous game on Saturday, and again tonight. It's hardly surprising there was no consistency when we were making 4 or 5 changes. We often got locked into a cycle of doing that under Gavin after a couple of disappointing performances, and it usually got worse before it got better. In mitigation, Hak was starting from scratch this season, so hopefully we've bottomed out and will be able to win more than we lose going forward. I'm not getting carried away yet, I always thought promotion would probably be a 2 year project, but we're only 5 points behind the top 5 with 30 matches to play.
We've now got two different cup competitions to deal with, Trophy at home to Lewes and London Cup away to Kingstonian, before we resume league action at bottom placed Haringey on Saturday week.
