Why would U.S. Secretary of Defense say that the Hijacked plan was shot down over Pennsylvania?
He makes this statement at the end of this news story.
Bush has also done this sort of thing.

Have any of you ever made such a slip of the tounge that was untrue?

- He'd just flown into a war zone, probably in a war plane, his mind was on war things, and he's clearly watched too many war movies in his time*. So "shot down" was in the circumstances more natural than "crashed". And it's easier to say.
- Flight 93 was in fact hijacked by fairly random Saudis, and the Pentagon shot it down, but they haven't dared release that.

Interestingly this would be the second such slip by Rumsfeld - he previously referred to a missile striking the Pentagon. Two would appear careless, would it not?

Did he really? you haven;t got a link for that have you?
Ive seen the video footage of a missile hitting the pentagon and it does look pretty convincing, although there are a lot of "yeah, buts" about it.
If Rummy slipped it out that would sway me a little...

How come so many credible, independent eye witnesses clearly saw the American Airlines flight hitting the Pentagon?
How do you explain Olsen's call from the plane?
What happened to the real plane, its passengers and crew?
Where did they go?
Face it: you've haven't got shred of anything remotely producing credible evidence to answer those questions.
