France v Uruguay - France look strong and are getting better.

Brazil v Belgium - Looks like a cracking match on paper. Brazil did look very good against mexico and Japan exposed Belgium's defence. But belgium showed real strength of character to win that tie. Dunno - Brazil.

Russia vs Croatia. Russia will probably play defensively but croatia are a very good team. If Modric has had his weetabix then the hosts will be out.

England vs Sweden. Tough call. Sweden will close the game down and England might struggle to find openings. Penalties. But England are now penalty maestros.

Yeah, I think there are four clear favourites, but I could see the other team overturning any one of them as well.
Uruguay could 'do a Portugal' on a strong France team. Belgium would need to seriously click, but Brazil can be scored against. Croatia were terrible in their last match. Sweden, well, they're still in it despite not looking very good.

I expect Uruguay to play a similar spoiling style to Colombia. They will try and make the game as fractious and as bad tempered as possible, as long as France keep their nerve they should win it. I get the feeling with a lot of the South American sides (Brazil apart) that deep down they don't feel they belong in the finals stages, impostor syndrome if you like.

Brazil are the best team and will beat Belgium.

Croatia should win this but it'll be a tough game for them because of the crowd. I think they should edge it though.

England should beat Sweden. I expect it to be a poor game though as Sweden sit deep and hope to counter.

France - I like Uruguay but France were impressive against Argentina and Cavani might be injured
Brazil - I'd prefer Belgium to win but Brazil will get through by hook or by crook
Croatia - surely Russia's time is up?
Sweden - I can't bring myself to predict an England win and Sweden have a decent record against them. Either 1-0 or a horrible dull 0-0 draw and then penalties
