Who else worships Chicago house?

Yeah Buddy was always my fave Royal House, more so than the bigger Can You Party...

Having frustratingly missed out on acid house by a couple of years and only hearing these tunes on comps, I could only imagine what this sounded like dropped in the heat of the mix in those druggy, heady times  Those of you who were there were very lucky indeed!

Hearing "a better way" reminded of this one (not a similar tune, just a similar title). Probably more famous for the Sasha mix or as the piano sample on Congress, 40 miles, but the original is an absolute banger that still gets a lot of play in our house:

Still Music Chicago’s J/A/C/K mixtape series looks pretty tasty.
Still Music - Boomkat
Back in 2017, Jerome Derradji received a call by one of Chicago's most renowned record dealers. It went like this: "Hey Jerome, I've got all these reel to reel tapes of Chicago House stuff. You want to take a look?" Less than 24 hours later, more than 160 reels were purchased and safely hauled back to the Still Music office and Jerome got to work. Around 50 of these tapes are DJ Mixes that were broadcasted on WGCI and WBMX in the mid to late eighties mostly with the Hot Mix 5. They were played on the radio only once and were lost until today. This series is an absolute window back to the heydays of Chicago House music....

I just ordered the Frankie Knuckles mix from 1986.
I've got the flat to myself for once, so I've cranked this up to the correct volume (sorry neighbours) and I'm partying like it's 1986 :D

This is a proper great mix.

The original House Nation is a (1986) classic...but how about this raw as fuck version from 1987? Fat on a system

mastered to an old tdk by the sounds of it

Not sure where to stick this so I'm going to put it here and in the mixes thread, but Paul Johnson, fuck yeah:

Looking through some names i havent heard of and came across this guy
Josh Caffe
From London, not put a massive amount of tunes out as of yet, but does a great impression/tribute of sleazy Frankie Knuckles/Jamie Principle

Just came up as a suggested watch, great footage from the inception - including a classic dance routine from Steve Hurley

This is a lovely little oldskool piano bubbler from 1991 by Maurice Joshua aka Da Possee
unreleased mix is long released
