What are you playing at the moment?

Rise of The Triad: Ludicrous Edition

Its as fucked and stupid as I remember it, harder though. I no longer have the whip quick reflexes I had when this was first released in 1994

Bought Project Zomboid in a moment of caprice and insomnia in the early hours this morning.
It's loadsa fun, although I'm having what teenage son calls a "skill issue" and keep dyng every ten minutes .
I even managed to burn my friggin house down.
God help me in a zombie apocalypse if this game is a fair representation, I wouldn't last the day.
10/10 👍

Free beta version of a game called Palia. It's the usual crafting, fishing, bug catching, fetch questing but very nice looking and charming. Nice and chill.

Remnant 2, playing one character on PS5 ( A hunter ) and a handler on PC.

It's kinda dark souls with guns but not as hard.

The games are and levels are randomly generated. It's like playing 2 different games with different bosses, level order and enemies.

I highly recommend it.

Not feeling great today, back is giving me hell, so I dosed up on painkillers and thought I'd fire up an old favourite, in fact the game I bought a PS4 to play when it was released - Fallout 4. Got it on a Steam sale for just a few quid a while back, but not fired it up on PC till today. First up it doesn't detect my graphics card. Fair enough that can't be to hard to start. More alarmingly it doesn't work at 3440 x 1440. Started fucking around with mods to try and make it work, but my opioid clouded brain is clearly doing something stupid and I can't make it work and it was starting to feel a lot like work. So this afternoon I haven't been playing Fallout 4, but spent to long trying to fuck with it's .ini files. :(

Gun Raiders on VR, waiting for new FM on PC, coin masters on phone since it gets me money (£30 so far). New Zelda on Switch.

I am also playing this, on PC.

I had similar issues with fallout 4 when I last installed it. Couldn't get it out of window mode and the window was about a fifth of my monitor. Tried it again a week or so later and it worked fine.

Anyone tried the new Quake II?

I still basically only play Quake III and CK2. Will get into the most recent Mount and Blade at some point, have had to wait for patches.

Three years after the initial play through, I have gone back to Last Of Us 2, as I always intended. Hopefully I can have some more fun this time, instead of being traumatised. Suspect the ending won't be any less stressful though.

Every time I play a Naughty Dog game it makes me wish everyone put that much effort into the story and dialogue. Just bloody brilliant.

I’ve been playing It Takes Two with a mate. It’s a pretty fun puzzle platformer with lovely graphics. Caveat is you HAVE to play it as a co-op either locally or online. It doesn’t work as a single player game. The plot is basically a young girl doesn’t want her parents to divorce and so they take on the lives of two of her toys. I’m guessing it won’t last that long. You can exit the many cut scenes if they get in the way too much (they did for us).
My favourite Steam review was:

It made me gay for my homie :D

I'm quite tempted to play CyberPunk again. Last time was streamed via GeForce now, but I can run it locally now. I'm wondering thought if it's worth waiting till the DLC is out next month. I don't think I've ever bothered with DLC before normally just finishing a game is enough of a challenge for me. I assume if I start a new game now I won't have to do another to play the DLC?

Correct

Finished my first ever playthrough Xcom2! Finally finished it and really enjoyed it. I'll definitely be playing through on the hardest difficulty again at some point.

I've started playing Football, Tactics, and Glory. I loaded it up a few weeks ago after getting it for cheap, but didn't go back to it. It's like xcom from football and I've warmed to it pretty quickly. Someone's put me on to some Warhammer/American Football turn based game too so I'll probably grab that at some point. I don't like Warhammer, or American Football but it sounds good.

Steam have a Turn Base/Card/Board game sale on a the moment so I've added a load to my list.

Watching the starfield thread with interest too.

Don't get number 3, get 2 instead. They do all the races as DLC and if you get the legendary edition of 2 it contains about ten of them for a fiver or something. It's loads cheaper and it's just a better game.

2 was the one I put in my wishlist. Didn't know there was a 3.
Blood Bowl is great. You might want to peruse the 'living rule book' as I don't think any of this is explained in game. It just assumes you know how to play. And don't play the real time version (although can't remember if that happens in 2, might be the earlier one). It's a tabletop game.

Stand back, it's a PDF!! https://bloodbowlhispano.files.wordpress.com/2009/10/livingrulebook5.pdf

Don't forget to say your blessings to Nuffle.

Thanks! I've added it to the list so I'll get around to it one day. :D

Tried Armored Core 6.
I wasn't expecting, or asking for a Souls game. Thankfully Steam refunded.
It could just be that they don't know how to do a tutorial. It's all easy, easy, easy, fuck you.

Helicopter? The game is fucking hard tbf. The first boss has another AC immediately before it. First time round I killed that on maybe the second try and then died to the boss. Second time round I can't even get past him.

Hit the helicopter with the sword BTW.

I had middling luck with "drive me closer so I can hit it with my sword", but the bastard thing kept leaving the battle area behind an impenetrable shield. I'm sure I could have got it after another 5 tries, but if that's what I had to look forward to I'm glad I uninstalled it.

Yeah. That's still the tutorial. 😊

I'm a fan of the Souls games but after Sulla killed me for the fourth time in a row without me even getting close I did start to think that this was a bit too much.

Although tbh I have also gone back and killed these bosses first time once I knew what to do.

I've been pretty addicted to Football Glory and Tactics over the last couple of weeks. I got stuck in the bottom division for about 10 years and even managed a zero point season at one point. Eventually learnt that I should have been investing in the youth setup and eventually pulled myself up into the next division with an almost 100% homebrew squad. It's not perfect, but it's fun.

I started Pillars of Eternity today. Been playing it on my steam deck and plays pretty well. Never really played games like this so I'm finding it hard, but think I'm getting the hang of it and I just got to the first tavern.
