washing machine question

marty21

One on one? You're crazy.
the door on our washing machine won't open, we've put it through a couple of wash cycles in the hope that it would, but it hasn't...and now the little lever thing that opens it has snapped off

is there anyway we can open it, any tricks of the trade

it's a creda 1000 supaspeed, for any washing machine fact fans out there

it's about 9 years old, so maybe it's time we changed it, so we are thinking of just buying a new one, but we want to get the clothes that are currently trapped inside, out again

help me release our clothes... :(

Is there a little drainage door thingy you can open at the bottom?

On ours there is a little lever in there to open the door if this happens.

cheers, i found that instruction manual, it's the same as the one we actually managed to keep for 9 years...i'll have a look at the bottom of the machine, thanks for the tip

nothing at the bottom, there's no water in the machine, so it's not that that is keeping it closed and imprisoning our lovely clothes :(

Most washing machines have a door release overide, it should be in the manual somewhere.

Often it's a cord you pull by sticking your hand down the back (lekky off), you'll have to find out where it is.

i'll have a look at the back then, which will take a while as i have to drag it out of it's nest..

hammer and chisel is looking tempting at the mo :D

If you think it's buggered anyway do it

hurrah!!!!

got in, the chisel did it, fucked the lock though

we've decided to buy a new one anyway, if anyone wants this one, which just needs a new locking mechanism, they can have it, collect from hackney, otherwise we'll have it taken away
