US to Recognise UFOs

If you have the technology levels to cross the interstellar spaces it stands to reason you have the tech to stay nicely hidden. You managed to cruise all the way from epsilon eridani in complete stealth mode but John from Huddersfield clocked you at the last minute? right.

Absent some kind of reactionless drive (a notion that more than a few physicists would take issue with, since they would violate conservation of momentum and all that), we'd spot their engine plume as soon as they would begin decelerating to stop in the Solar system.

There ain't no stealth in space. Unless you've got access to technology that is basically magic according to our current understanding of physics.

They could have the technology to teleport the ship anywhere in the universe, and just materialise in Earth's atmosphere.

The new video with the multiple black spheres 'surrounding' the Navy ship, being recorded on radar, and then disappearing into the sea is interesting irregardless of what it's origins are.

Or they are so advanced it's just kids doing it for the lolz.

The text of the upcoming Pentagon report on Unidentified Aerial Phenomena in full:

"Our pilots have seen some weird fucking shit up there. Maybe it's China or something behind it, who the fuck knows. Some classified shit is in the appendix."

Officials say there's no proof aliens were involved but there's not enough evidence to rule it out, either.

American intelligence officials have found no evidence that aerial phenomena witnessed by Navy pilots in recent years are alien spacecraft, but they still cannot explain the unusual movements that have mystified scientists and the military
Intelligence officials believe at least some of the aerial phenomena could have been experimental technology from a rival power, most likely Russia or China.
The final report will also include a classified annex, the officials said

In that case, there's no evidence UFO's aren't controlled by witchcraft, Hare Krishna devotees or the manager of a yet-to-be-discovered branch of Lidl underneath the South Pole. We can't rule out the possibility that they are angels, dragons or Santa Claus. Well, we can't rule it out completely.

before the widespread idea of earth as a spinning ball deep in the black etc became er..widespread people used to claim to have seen angels and the glorious hosts etc. The Angel of Mons springs to mid but there are older.

Not enough evidence to rule it out? :hmm:
Have you been reading the Priti Patel book of critical thinking?

Quoting from story - I think they just wanted to throw a bone to the X-Files types.

senior officials briefed on the intelligence conceded that the very ambiguity of the findings meant the government could not definitively rule out theories that the phenomena observed by military pilots might be alien spacecraft.
