I'm watching, yet again, The West Wing

Second or third time through? I'm not sure. What I am sure of though is that I've see LOADS of clips from YouTube and that's what prompted me to re-watch it . . . again

Given my . . . how shall we say . . . "memory issues" (see the Framed thread for multiple examples) - there's some episodes this time through that feel like I've never seen them. I have, obviously, as this is now my second or third time through. But they're still fucking brilliant, proper, emotional

Same with The News Room - another Sorkin written thing

But I, just about, remember the first time that me and Mrs Voltz watched it - the "shall we watch another one?" before going to bed, despite our (my) trying to ration them to one a night / week (we always watched another one) to make them last longer as we both knew that the show had finished and what we had was what we had. To be able to re-capture the "what's going to happen next?" would be brilliant and no matter how shot to shit my memory is there's still some distant remnant of the show that creeps in and cheats me from the "first time experience"

So what about you? Anything that you'd like to see "again?"

The Blues Brothers and Groundhog Day, both of which I’ve seen countless times and they still delight me. Also The Newsroom. Never watched the west wing though, so maybe I’ll give it a go.
Actually, maybe not Groundhog Day, as I think it almost gets better every time I watch it.

Twin Peaks for sure!
Can remember when it was out - and somehow, I don't know, it didn't work for me - maybe time to put aside my prejudices and give it another go - I mean, I would be watching it for the first time

Blues Brothers - I've seen - loved all the cars being smashed up - I think it held a "record"
Groundhog Day - again, seen it

Spoil yourself - watch The West Wing - currently available FoC on Amazon Prime

1992 I think. When I was an impressionable sixth former. The first ‘watercooler’ tv series. We spent every Tuesday dinner time in the snug, fervently discussing what the fuck happened on Twin Peaks the night before

Dead Mans Shoes - Check, fucking belter of a film
Red Riding 1974 - just had a quick squizz and that looks a good 'un
The Wire - I think I started watching it - promised myself I would watch it - never got around to watching it - will watch it
stuff like Dead Mans Shoes and Red Riding gets to me in a way no horror film or gore fest ever have. A feeling of real dread as you see it unfolding.

Great thread, I’ve never gone back to a TV series, too many great new ones out there.

But I’d definitely like to be able to do this for books and films.

Not very highbrow, but I'd love to see The Matrix and Fight Club for the first time again.
And Everything Everywhere.
Agree with The Matrix AND Fight Club and having seen EE and switching off (my head) quite quickly into it, watching this for the first time is still an options

Definitely West Wing. I rewatch it often but I’d like to have that first time again.
Also Schitt’s Creek.
Gilmore Girls.
The Office.
