The Virgin Mary

Oh really? I haven’t read the thread so I have missed. Curious about what makes one a real or fake Catholic.

Then again I have always found any inter-faith disputes particularly amusing. In true Life of Brian fashion, it often seems that the various splinter factions of Christianity see each other as far more heretical and hateful than even other faiths. I wish God would come down from Heaven and settle the argument.

And then somebody could do a citizen's arrest on the fucker.

You just said what side you are on.

Here's an idea and commandment:

Philippians 4:6
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

If you ain't the fellowship of christ you are anti-christ

It's JFC Jesus fucking Christ this and that.

Telling you now. You're fucked.
Ok Ian, but I prefer refer the fellowship of the rings, tbf.

This violent threat-inspiring Jesus you mention doesn't sound anything like the Christ who's all about love, peace and feeding the meek.

Statistically, more than twice as many people agree that Jesus is not the messiah than agree that he is. The odds suggest that I should avoid pissing off the real Gods by worshiping this false one.

Back on topic, I think that the impending disestablishment and schisms of the Church of England will overall be good for the Blessed Virgin Mary. Evangelicals and Anglo-Catholics will polarise: more Alpha courses and grim Christian soft rock on the one side, but far more attention to obscure saints and Jesus’s mum from the odd ducks who signed up for the clergy because of the opportunities for dressing up.
