The New Techno Thread

Northern Electronic released this fundraiser which I grabbed. Some really nice tunes more along the deep and trippy techno lines.

Do respect Northern Electronics they are based in Sweden and did a few things for jailed anti-fascists last year.

Also picked this up last week, but not listened yet.

There's also a massive DnB Ukraine LP. Think it's called 'Together for Ukraine' or similar.

Nice little mix from Zadig here.

I quite like this. The Search tunes are good as you'd expect, and I quite like the contrasting sounds in the last tune. Fast(ish), euphoric, but also a bit melichonic too.

The new Mark Hand EP is lovely - very Detroit-influenced

This is my favourite from it, but they're all good.

He plays live with a couple of others as Cubic Space Collective - I saw them play at FreeRotation in 2018 and they blew my mind and body - one of the best dancefloor techno live acts
I’ve seen (and Shawn Rudiman also played that year!)
though admittedly I was also high af on ck and mdma

Two new Underground Resistance 12"s for 2022 :)

I can't find whole tracks online, so here's some snippet videos -

Mano de Fuego with some hi-tech soul:

Wavejumpers with some Drexiyan electro:

Neither of them especially groundbreaking, but both quality.

You see, that's a great track. I bought a CD a few years back and it was pretty lacklustre tbh. Is there loads of other stuff by him/her/they that I should be checking out?
I sort of agree to be honest. I saw him do an ambient set at a festival and it was great. I think it's one of those where it works really well in a live environment, but doesn't always translate so well via home listening.

I remember caning this mix to death a few years ago now - I'm listening as I type and it's still sounding pretty spesh:

It's not his own tunes though.

I've not listened to any new Kangding Ray for years but when OR came out (in 2011 - where does the time go!) it was a firm favourite....

Loving Al Wootton's stuff as well. He's got some really nice newer stuff out as well, but I keep on returning to this one.
