blimey, i just got these CDs of "math rock", i guess you'd call it, by oxes, rumah sakit and sleeping people - intellect-heavy, droll and spiky, with emotion there by implication rather than visible directly. all out guitar/bass/drums as well - no samples, keys (exc a little piano) etc... best track has to be the ahhhsome 'johnny depp' on the sleeping people cd, a balletic yet forceful tour de force based around one note! a bit like rhys chatham actually. plus sleeping people have a way with asymmetric time sigs that makes the bending and curling flow, albeit in a bendy curvy way.

Gusset! You're back. :)

Yay!

eta: still listening to shit tunes I see. :(

65daysofstatic "The Destruction of Small Ideas"

Less rocky and glitchy than the previous two albums, bit more subtle ... mostly. I really struggle to describe it.

Cadence - Creative Commerce
Half Man Half Biscuit - Achtung Bono
Pixies - Doolittle

ah yes, your "ignore". your wife told me about that - your special "milesy ignore" that let you see what i'd posted.

and she showed me your MG scrapbook where you'd printed out and kept all of my posts over the last 5 years, and drawn lots of pictures of me with flowers and love hearts all around them.
