just discovered that the Sacred Harp Liberty singers - I'm going home sounds fucking amazing if you axidentally play it at the same time as Nebula II - Atheama (this is what happens if you open youtube while winamp is playing)
oh god a remix I feel love is now playing over the top

blimey, I was third and I hardly ever buy new music. I've never heard of half the stuff Iam plays. Is it mostly mumblehop like ELP and clouddead cos that's the impression I get, rightly or wrongly.

mind you, he only just features in the current top ten...

killer b 9
Orang Utan 7
Sunspots 5
rollinder 5

iam listens to emerson, lake & palmer? cool...
i almost bought Mojo the other day cos it had a free prog comp on it:oops: I like the idea of it, esp Rick Wakeman ordering a curry, waiting for delivery, then eating it on stage, during a band member's solo.

Edgar Jones & The Joneses ~ The Way It Is

Paul Revere And The Raiders ~ The Great Airplane Strike Of 1966

JD Souther ~ Jesus In 3/4 Time

The Kids From The Brady Bunch ~ Drummer Man

Aqua Nebula Oscillator ~ Ready To Fly

Michael Yonkers ~ Microminiature Love

:)

you're wrong re: !!! :p

That Freq Masty mix is pretty rubbish tbh (saw him do a dj set at herbal last year where he played dubstep, breakstep and breaks - t'was bloody bwilliant!) - check out his album 'bring me the head of ... freq nasty' - think Rodney P and Roots Manuva make guest appearances

Jim Ford ~ I'm Gonna Make Her Love Me ('Til The Cows Come Home)

Bernard Estardy ~ Tic Tac Nocturne

Smog ~ Bowery

Mammatus ~ The Righteous Path Through The Forest Of Old

The Glitterhouse ~ I Lost Me A Friend

:)

Bit of a UK stepper roots session going on last couple of days; lots of Disciples, Bush Chemists, Gussie P and plenty of the nice new European & Japanese digital productions elbowing their way onto the scene from the likes of Mighty Massa, King Shiloh and the Dub Flash label.

No, it's just better than all the stuff you listen too...

:p ;) :D

Seriously, though... it's mainly hip hop and punk. Most of it is probably not mumblehop at all, although there's some in there. It does seems a fairly common misconception that the majority of "underground" hip hop is of the laid-back, almost lazy sounding ("backpacker", as kained would say) school, but it's not (always? often...) the case.

It's mostly relentlessly clever, endtimebattle-esque mc-ing over beats harder than a paving slab dropped onto your head from a skyscraper.

And pop punk.

 :D
