Last night I listened to Sound Murder - Wired for Sound, loud, as soon as I got home

This morning I listened to Jolie Holland - Catalpa

Talking Heads - Speaking In Tongues
Never heard it before but I recognise the song This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody) - it's a beautiful song

demented are go - "hellbilly storm"
v/a - the last great rockabilly saturday night
morrissey - "beethoven was deaf" (oops, not the missus will know i took her CD to work - erm, i wanted to ask, but she was asleep)(i'm sure she won't mind, as she does love me very very much)

I've got an MP3 of Arcade Fire covering that

pj harvey - rid of me (haven't listened to this in the better part of ten years ... think I like it more now than I did then  )

Chains & Safety Pins: The New Wave (Sunday Times 1997)
The Stranglers - No More Heroes
Buzzcocks - What Do I Get
Blondie - Hanging On The Telephone
The Saints - This Perfect Day
The Vapours - Turning Japanese
Generation X - King Rocker
Bow Wow Wow - C30, C60, G90, Go
Mink De Ville - Spanish Stroll
Stiff Little Fingers - Nobody's Hero
999 - Emergency
The Banned - Little Girl
Wire - Outdoor Miner

How good are The Saints and Emergency by 999, and Outdoor Miner

Dire Straights - Money For Nothing (best of)

Brand New - Deja Entendu

Cracking, one of the best rock records of the last decade, imo.

Emo as fuck, but I don't care! :D

Super Chron Flight Brothers - Emergency Powers

Have I mentioned how much I like this record, at all?

It's pretty good, in case you missed it. Like, whoa.

on the train home: gridlock 'break the system' (heavy!!! :D)

on the computer now: menomena 'friend and foe' (american indie I can't decide if I like ... hmmm ...)

The Power Of Love Time Life Soft Rock Classics - both discs (but are any of them power ballads?) ffs where hasve I put the cd case:mad:

On Monday I sand my way through every single song on Billy Braggs 'Back to Basics' album (plus Between The Wars Ep) in my best, flat, Essex voice while driving. It was a lovely way to spend an hour :)

leonard cohen - ten new songs.

i started with ani difranco - 'educated guess' this morning but quickly realised that i was way too hungover to listen to anything other than something i know off by heart word-for-word & note by note.

four tet - everything ecstatic

way better than i remembered. and i've got the sexy vinyl version, with the very purty etchings on the second disc :)
*sniffs*

New Radicals - Maybe You've Been Brainwashed Too

so far- they really were good, just the overplayed single put me off:(
( :)mad: for being responsible for Rownan Keating -life is a rollercoaster though)

Aaliyah - "Age Ain't Nothing But A Number" (made when she was a 15 year old married to R Kelly, her producer. Still, great stuff)
Mogwai - "Young Team"
Badly Drawn Boy - "Have You Fed The Fish?"
Squarepusher - "Hello Everything"
The Donnas - "Gold Medal"
Ludacris - "Word Of Mouf"
