...and this is what he did when someone who believed the moon landings were faked called him 'a coward and a liar." :D

The mans clearly unhinged and unstable, lashing out like that. No way you'd send him into space. !!

What problem is that? We make diving equipment that can survive hundreds of atmospheres of pressure crushing it, why not one atmospheric pressure pushing out?

There is nothing special about the gloves that would make it possible for those guys to bend their fingers yet they quite happily pick up all sorts of shit and bend their fingers all over the place.

My fave is William Cooper who says you can walk on the moon without a space suit (with oxygen though) and the hoax is simply that the moon is uninhabitable.

On that basis, I suppose all the space walks that Russians and Americans did before and after the Apollo missions were faked too?
Isn't that under the van allen belt?

of course it didn't happen, that would imply that there actually is such a thing as the moon itself...

jms is the only one speaking any real truth on this thread so far :D

Some of the proof that it was a hoax is mighty convincing though...

:D

That's brilliant! :D

This is more my better halves area of expertise (and this is going to make him angry ;) ) but I do remember catching the end of a programme which managed to explain some of the challenges, like the flag flying in the wind. I can't actually remember much about the programme but there did seem to be valid sounding explanations, well, to a layperson.

<points and laughs at the "false" voters> :D

It's a shame they don't teach bullshit detection at school, really.

A good point, flexible gloves hadn't been invented in 1969!

You are taking the piss aren't you? A pressure resistant flexible joint was designed by Archimedes for crying out loud

Do the conspiracists (that surely isn't the right word...) think that every rocket we send into space is a hoax? Or is the moon landing the only special one.
I don't see what's so unbelievable about it. It's not like they claim to have travelled back through fucking time.

Well there are plenty of people out there who think that NASA deliberately tries to make Mars look redder than it is. theres a whole bunch of crazy idiots out there, who knows what crap they believe.

That's why I thought it was double wierd.
Even nasa says they didn't have flexible joints in their specs. They were one piece.

Armstrong et al might not have made it there, but Mr Spoon most definitely did.

Mr Spoon went to 'button moon' not 'the moon' it was a moon. Plus Buttom moon had the same atmosphre as what ever planet Mr Spoon was from so it was not quite such a big deal.

And button moon was pretty close as I recall.

nah i belive it happened but i like the idea it could ahve been faked even if it probably wasnt

I don`t really care.

I`m leaning towards no, although it seems like a long way to go for some positive propaganda. Who knows what went on, what our rulers get upto as far as space is concerned REALLY spins me out.

Has anyone seen all the NASA footage from the Secret Space Documentary? That spun me out to jupiter and back. Did my sourcing, footage was genuine....
