Haven't seen series four since it aired, so now must be a good time for a rewatch. Noticed during my annual viewing of the xmas spesh last month that iPlayer has inserted a very over the top high pitched bleep (as opposed to just dropping the audio for a second) over a particular word...

There was canned laughter on the first season broadcast on BBC but I think it was removed on DVD releases

I think they recorded it, then showed that to an audience and recorded their laughter as they watched it, rather than having had an audience watch them record it.
