Apart from Assad killing hundreds of thousands of people, which he has, i dont think that though, thats simplistic shite. There's no side apart from possibly the YPG that comes out of it looking good.

Assad, Cameron, Obama, Erdogan the Petromonarchs and a number of others have between them killed hundreds of thousands in Syria due to their maintenance of the war. Assad reckons his excuse is that he runs the state that's being attacked. I think any head of state would feel justified in holding a similar position... typical of the breed really.
Making out all the victims of the war were personaly strangled on the orders of Assad is bollocks... at the 200k mark, most of them had died defending Syria from the foreigners (soldiers in the SAA, civilians in areas attacked by the invaders etc).
Anyway we know all this... the tragedy continues because "Assad Must Step Down" is far more important than peace talks obviously.
