Yeah, if you want to look at it like that fair enough, but it seems a bit odd. Anyway, like I said, I don't consider it at all important.

the post you saw was one element - very much a 'tip of the iceberg' thing - its also worth noting who the post you saw on another forum is from and their qualification for taking such a view.
personally, i'd back that up by suggesting that any group who were sufficiently photo-happy would - were they in Iraq/Syria doing the deed against outr Bearded friends - be plastering every social media site/journalist with their exploits. thus far, it appears, they have not...
Do they have any about Geordie Shore? Or Lucy Spraggan's disgraceful mockery of X-Factor?It is a day that will go down in history,
A day of resistance and memory.
The day when the law was accepted,
that in all 50 states same sex marriage is permitted.
Oh, but it it is not for that reason that it shall be remembered.
It is not for this we praise.
To convert our bodies to those of pigs.
We do not live to oppose the way of nature, nor do we agree with this repeat.
The resemblance of now to the past is very great
How little have people learned from the lake of Lut.
They are all drowning their future
- in a river which flows but to one direction.
It is in Hell they shall reside, taking back what they now call in pride.
I'd prefer a man who is not so weak as to be led by his genitals when his head (or at least his heart) ought to be in charge.<snip>Would you want to live in a society where the receptionist attempt flirting with your husband, or would you want to live in a society knowing full well that your husband is in Ribat surrounded by no women whatsoever.
Lol
<snip> Would you like to live in a society where the receptionist harmlessly flirts with your husband every day? Or would you like to live in a society where they're both beheaded?
He wasn't even a fundie - he drank, smoked, never prayed, (obv had sex outside marriage,) didn't go near a mosque and didn't observe Ramadam - about the only Muslim things he did were refusing to eat pork products, having a go at me for wanting to decide for myself what was so bad about The Satanic Verses, several unsuccessful attempts at tricking me into saying the Shahada, and being idolatrous about not turning the radio off halfway through what he claimed might be a religious programme in arabic (which he wasn't even listening to). He used his cultural values as an excuse for a ridiculously high level of jealousy and control.Tbh i feel really sorry for the kids of people that have gone off to daesh from the uk and other parts of europe, what about if they turn out to be gay? or not as insane as their parents
Fucking hell Greebo

I suspect that some of young European-raised recruits to daesh find its values and attitudes equally convenient.

Tbf, by their standards, that's not untrue. If you think that the torso, arms, and legs should be covered in public at all times as an absolute minimum, and that Islamic modesty* requires everyone to show nothing more than their hands, face, and feet in public, then I'd seem naked to them, unless dressed for an interview in winter. There was one of their blogs where they were complaining that people in the uk were allowed to walk round naked
i think they've got things arse about titThere was one of their blogs where they were complaining that people in the uk were allowed to walk round naked but you could be arrested for having a beard

*not all Muslims take this line, but some do. Also, some take the line that Islamic modesty is just for Muslims as an expression of their faith and piety, other Muslims think that everyone should be forced to do it - no matter what their religion.
Not the first religious movement claiming to be a panacea for social ills.Yea but Daesh also bang on about how in the west 'rapists and paedophiles are around every corner' with no sense of irony whatsoever
tha auld dope peddler does more for society thoNot the first religious movement claiming to be a panacea for social ills.
you do see that a bank sacking its staff for being corrupt carpetbaggers is unlikely to happen, right? An odd story. I'd rather they were sacked for being corrupt carpetbaggers than for producing a daft video lampooning IS. I'm not going to feel sorry for bankers, but HR scouring social media for potentially offensive material seems more ominous than shit jokes.
