The Great Suburban75 Recipe Wiki

Crispy has kindly sorted us out with a Wiki to compile the greatest recipes of Suburbanites.

More recipes need adding - add your favourites from past threads (whether your own or other urbanites' recipes you have tried, tested and loved).

Recipes moved over to the spanky new u75 wiki - Crispy
http://urban75.org.uk/wiki/index.php5?title=Recipes

It's very easy to add recipes - follow the instructions at the top of the page.

Get wiki-ing! :)

Good work beeboo :)

I don't have a recipe to add at the moment but I'll have a think about it.

I thought I would have a look and I found one of my recipes there!

Fame at last. It'll be guest chef slots on uktvfood next.

Mine's in there now. A French mate gave me his family's recipe for a soup, since honed and tweaked into the par excellence of soup cuisine.

All Crispy's idea/handiwork - I'm merely acting as publicist/motivator.

I love Crispy!

If I had to chose one urbanite to be stuck with in a post-apocalyptic crisis, it would be him.

Dear lovely mods - can we stickify this thread please? Because the last one sunk without trace and I'd hate for this one to go the same way. :)

Good to see this made it to a sticky - nice one again Crispy :)

Blimey - there's been loads of recipes stuck up there since Friday night!

Just added my veggie curry recipe from a couple of days ago.

Great idea - this makes a very useful place for me to put all my recipes. Thanks, Crispy!

Just been looking through the recipes, and I'm loving the way each one shows the individuality of the poster - there's loads of little comments that you just wouldn't find in any other cookbook or net guide :D

Just seen this wiki recipe thing - it's brilliant! :)

Nice one Crispy and all!

Put this to good use tonight :)

Cooked this with a side helping of this and a variation on the same but with chickpeas. Some premade onion bajias, and a fat dollop of mango chutney. Delicious. And the fridge + freezer now hold enough to feed us all week :)

Thank you suburban recipe wiki!

Yes, thank you surburban wiki! :)

Phoned Crispy on my way back to uni knackered and grumpy and pissed off for various reasons, one of which revolved around having not had a proper curry in a long time (as you do   ), then I come home and he's cooking up a feast! With plenty of food to keep us going the rest of the week I should think!

I do have to do the washing up now, but really it's a small price to pay. :)

Brilliant idea. I just added a recipe, but I am afraid I also edited the instructions, because there was a typo (it said "you recipe" instead of "your recipe"). I hope I am not in trouble for pedantry now!

No no, this is what it's all about :)

I suppose, but I don't think I would like it if someone edited my recipe. Admittedly, I didn't edit a recipe, just the instructions as to how to add a recipe, but still... :D

Anyway, it's a brilliant idea, and I will definitely use it - already seen loads I want to try. I may even add some more recipes.

Could you edit it and put the recipe in then ;)

(you've put the title but no recipe... and it looks like a nice one to cook)

Well, precisely. Loki's soup is bothering me - I'm sure it's celeriac. Or is this a regional variation, or different ingredient altogether?

I've stuck other people's recipes up there from various threads and had to edit them because they didn't make sense quoted out of context. But I haven't made any fundamental changes to the recipes themselves.

If someone came and totally changed the ingredients of one of my recipes I'd be a bit hacked off, but if someone added a note at the end to say they'd cooked it but tried a bit of a variation, that'd be cool - that's the point, isn't it, it evolves? :)
