When I was there it was full of dealers but I was the only white guy.

That'll be towards the latter part of the place's existence then.

Helter Skelter was excellent, as was Tongue and Groove at the start. Owned by the same guy I think.

I still have the full bottle of tequila I 'found' on the floor one NYE (I don't like tequila).

One thing missing from this thread is photo's. Not a criticism just a disappointment. The photo's on this website, particularly of Brixton, are outstanding. So much so that i want to get a cheapish but decent digital and start snapping where i live as it is now and as it changes. Just a confidence thing with me but i'm going to do it.

I also miss Tonys, the deli on CHL that just vanished one day without warning.

Apologies to all for resurrecting this after so long, but I'd like to do a piece on Tony's deli seeing as you can still see the sign. Anyone remember it?

I can remember popping in there a few times but only have a recent photo.
