The pilot has been leaked on-line, and I've just watched it.

Its pretty good, slightly cheesy ( but it a comic book after all ) and although I dont really like Barry Allen in the comics , in this version he is pretty likeable. Its much better than ' Arrow ' which I could never get into and hopefully will turn into something special.

episode 2 is good fun too.

i don't dislike arrow but this one is much more fun

also the wheelchair doctor seems to be slightly channelling jeff goldblum

totally. He used to be in a sitcom where he ran a bowling alley. Clocked him straight away.

arrow is just really a poor mans batman, this bloke has a power/ Multiple man was also good

I'm really kinda sick of grim and gritty superhero stuff. Needs more silly.

Too much of the live action DC stuff takes itself too seriously.

In a semi related topic i have recently been watching batman the brave and the bold.
It's outragious!
It really embraces the goofyness

Case in point

I enjoyed the first series of Arrow. The backstory made it interesting but I can only see it going downhill now.

I've seen both episodes of The Flash and It's doing nothing for me.

Pilot was OK. I have just watched ep 2 and it is as cheesy as hell. I don't mind cheese, but let's have some less serious less lame dialogue, and they should really give the audience more credit. They really don't have to hit us over the head with the plot lines and character motivations. It doesn't have to be the wire, just a bit more comic and less stale and repetitive.
Not sure if I will bother with a third. The only good bits seem to be the final minute arc reveal of each ep. That's no way to add a story arc.

Can't really tell who this is aimed at. It looks like a show for adults, but is written like a show for children.

It may even be written by children.

Yes, there is a touch of the CBBC scifi drama about it. . . I think I am out. I have better things to do with my limited TV time.

I love Arrow - it's great! I wasn't too sure about The Flash, so I haven't watched it, apart from the episodes of Arrow that were cross-overs.

Anyone still watching this?

I'm enjoying it because it's really bad, and a show I enjoy watching with all the family (a bit like new Who).

I can't help but like it! :D

Probably have to agree...for the most comicy of the current tv deluge it was a decent ending/final season episode.

I have no problems with Cisco getting powers. Dr H (G?) Wells going is actually a bit meh, he was a great 'enemy' and may be hard to replace...although that big thing in the sky may bring him back. Glad Eddy's dead. Flash made a difficult decision at the ernd.

Yeah, I agree with most of those. But Eddy was ok, better than Iris who is the most boring character in it.

I hope they bring back Wells (and Gorilla Grood) for series 2. I'm looking forward to Cisko's powers....he'll have to come up with a funny name for himself :D Also, I think he may be the one to bring Wells back, with his alternate-timeline powers, whatever thay may be.

Central City must have abstinence only sex-ed. Didn't Eddie realise there's better methods of contraception than shooting your self in the stomach?

Anybody watching the second series?

I've watched the first 2, and they are good fun and up to the standard of the latter half of series 1 :)

Watched the first 3 eps, lighthearted fun mostly, with occasional burst of nastiness.

Episode 3 was a goldmine of references / homages :D

Michael Ironside making someone's head explode again
Wentworth Miller continuing to ham it up to the furthest extreme, especially when he claimed a prison couldn't hold him :D
Setting up 'Legends of Tomorrow' heavily now
Even the dorky romance subplot between Barry and the female cop is well done

Watched the first episode...hit the ground running and was decent enough. Got off to a good start? Quick off the mark?
