Best advice I can give is set yourself loads of strict rules to impose discipline then break them all and berate yourself for now having a dog that rules the house. Works for me.

There was a photo of someone who (allegedly) had blocked up a gap in their fence with a vacuum cleaner because the dog refused to go over it to get out.

Was just downstairs with Frankie upstairs and I heard a bit of a whimper followed a few seconds later by another bit of a whimper. I went upstairs to see him trapped in the doorway because he'd pulled the vacuum cleaner over and he didn't want to climb over it or even go round

I was pleased about him giving the whimper tbh, I think it meant he wanted me to come and sort it out for him. He got out into the garden a couple of weeks ago and I didn't realize. He gave a couple of barks to be let in, which was also good - Cosmo would just sit outside and say nuffin if I'd shut her out
