You’ve already had one. Although maybe her in Alien isn’t exactly a ‘lady’
That's a boy. It's one of the xenomorph drones and I picked that as the original Alien is my favourite and the most like a horror film. The alien queen from Aliens has a "crown". As their lifecycle is very much like insects, she's in all likelihood the only female in the hive.
There also is the phallic head and the whole rape-subtext, which makes the drones very much male. The xenomorph certainly wasn't established to be female in Alien.

wasn't aware of that. Big fan of Curry - he's very good value on Twitter - doesn't suffer fools gladly, but is funny with it. He had a stroke a while back and now uses a wheelchair, but he's still working and snarling at nobheads online
If you get chance to see it, do. Awesome characterisation, it disturbed me for a while.
A two episode story, pt 1, Our Darkest Hour and pt 2, The Longest Night.
Tim Curry is one of the greatest actors. He plays a serial rapist and killer who goes on a spree.

Fair point, I was thinking of the queen in ‘s. Pedantically, I don’t think the original is a boy, all the characters were written asexually. Don’t forget the vagina dentata (or is that in ‘s too?)

The human characters were written for unisex casting, the alien was written as a monster, which thanks to Giger's hypersexual designs, ended up as a rapey mega-penis with a phallic head and phallic jaws. There is no vagina dentata in the film, what may look like an orifice on the underside of the facehuggers, hides a penis like protrusion which inseminates its victims. Not very ladylike. The eggs give birth to the facehuggers, so I suppose they could be interpreted as female as they act like a womb but in Alien they were meant to be cocoons. In the directors cut of Alien, it's revealed that the xenomorph cocoons it's victims, which then turn into the alien eggs. As that scene initially got cut, James Cameron was able to add the alien queen to the lifecycle, who lays the eggs.

How is that for being pedantic ! :D

..as was Terry O'Quinn in The Stepfather a film which still is underrated and not well known enough. A horror film and an excellent satire on the Reagan administration's promotion of "family values", it's about a serial killer who marries widows with children and as soon as they don't live up to his conservative ideas of what a perfect family should be like, he kills them off and moves on to the next widow with kids.

If I had to pick a villain from a satanic horror film it would by Minnie Castevet from Rosemary's Baby. Not the main antagonist, but so funny while also genuinely sinister. One of my favourite performances in horror cinema by Ruth Gordon and one of the few in the genre which was awarded with an Oscar. Also up there in my top three all time favourite horror films.
