The beauty of the M25 from space

Well, I think it looks rather good:

Though I hate landing at Heathrow as its such a nightmare to get away from, the best bit is the flying over London
I think its rather beautiful

Looks a bit close to be 'from space'. Looks more like a view from a low flying aeroplane.

When you're in a low flying aeroplane over London you can see cars, people, and back gardens. Even high flying aeroplanes won't give you a tenth of that view.

If the photographer had zoomed out a little more he would have captured both London and Paris, plus what appears to be a series of apocalyptic volcanic eruptions somewhere around the Belgian border.

I think the cameras have zoom lenses.

:D

Yeah, i know, dumb comment from me. It's just usually when it's pictures from space it's N Korea or the Great Wall of China. The M25 seems a strange subject choice and threw me a bit. And i seemingly didn't spot the nasa logo on the bottom of the pic.

They've done these pictures before, years ago. I'm assuming these are just new ones.

Pogo will probably tell you there's a thread about it

The thread title is rather apt, as that's how far away from the frigging thing you need to be for it even mildly appealing.

It's nice and nasty at the same time. What a blot we all are.

Have you ever noticed how the transport zones maps of London look like a big mould growth in a petri dish? I always thought that was quite telling.
