not the only raver in the village
It's half an hour to Slapton Sands. Interesting place with some D Day history
The pooch will sleep well.
This will be our 5th sit via the app, and it’s been great! We love it. It means we get a loan of dogs for a while, which I find therapeutic, and which helps fill the void left by our dear departed Sorrel. And we get to visit parts of the country we might not have considered before. Plus you get essentially free accommodation in some very nice homes. It’s been great for us.
We’ve been to the Cornwall one! It was…unique. Also it has a Mott and Bailey castle.
Treygo Mills near Newton Abbott is a shopping and entertainment extravaganza you never knew you were missing.

My brother and sister in law are "dog sitters" but the dogs come to them. This will be our 5th sit via the app, and it’s been great! We love it. That looks very pretty! I think that’s a cert. For Dartmoor tor views and remoteness, but only 2 mins from the car park - Bonehill rocks was our regular fresh air spot when the kids were little. You've then got Widdecombe in the moor down there road. If you want a decent meal:

This is an app/website called Trusted Housesitters. You pay a small membership per year but for that you can have as many holidays as you want. I’ve heard of people who can WFH using it as continual accommodation, moving from one sit to the next continually. My brother and sister in law are "dog sitters" but the dogs come to them.
I think they originally used "the dogs trust" website but use something else now. Might be the one you mentioned. Not sure. This is an app/website called Trusted Housesitters. Not recommended, but strike out a little further to Princeton and Dartmoor Prison.
All great advice except (imho) Princetown. It's odd and grim with little to recommend other than a passable Dartmoor visitor centre.
Sorry. I never read properly
It’s all month “a few miles away just outside of Newton Abbot”.What date and time does the house party start Danny? March gives us plenty of time to book train tickets.
I’m actually away at present so might be happening nowIt’s all month “a few miles away just outside of Newton Abbot”.
Just to follow up on Berry Head, very nice cafe there which does veggie options and pretty certain it is fairly accessible. Usually windy and worth going on a clear day for the viewsBrixham is the best of the Torbay towns. Working fishing port. Berry head is the remains of a Napoleonic era fort
Brixham - Visit South Devon
Brixham isn’t just about fishing. It’s still one of the busiest fishing ports in the UK and a working town, but it’s also a place where you can…www.visitsouthdevon.co.uk
Yeah anything called a Cornish pasty is probably made in Devon and not worth eatingYes. In fact what goes by the name 'Cornish pasty' is a Devon recipe. Actual Corrnish pasties are some bullshit with fruit in them.
Walking around the Dartington Hall estate
With 880 acres of verdant forests, abundant wildlife and clear rivers, the Dartington estate is a great place for a good walk.www.dartington.org
I’m impressed that they diversified 13 years after being founded, then decided that’s it; they’d found the perfect synergy of gnomes and <checks notes> sheepskin, and stuck with that ever since.Oh danny la rouge you are in luck, it's still there

As someone who lives in Clapton, I find the idea of Slapton very appealing. It's half an hour to Slapton Sands. Interesting place with some D Day history
