Thank the lord.It doesn't. It's one of the few British towns I avoid as much as possible. And Slough, another utterly awful place.
Last winter I spent a lot of time walking laps of the local park and noticed just how much water flows around it ...It’s fucking non-stop soggy everywhere again, feels like it will never dry out.
I moved back here five years ago after nearly three decades living on the east side of the country (mostly Leeds and a couple of years in the smoke), and didn’t even consider the weather.
I used to do a lot of cycling on my nice road bike, avoiding rain where possible because it’s an arse to clean and fucks up the components. Back here it seems like the roads never really dry out enough, even in the summer. I bought a mountain bike.
How about 5pm at the Cornubia, which is close to many of the bridges you will pass? The Cornubia · 142 Temple St, Redcliffe, Bristol BS1 6EN
Can’t make Wednesday as I’m in Cardiff, but be aware that there are currently four of those bridges which are closed or inaccessible - Langton Street Bridge (aka the banana bridge), Sparke Evans bridge, Brock’s Bridge and Vauxhall Bridge. Have fun! I think the most I’ve ever done in one go is about 30.Planning to do a stretch of this on Wednesday so if you lot settle on a place I will happily find it and drink with you
Bristol Bridges Walk - Bristol Civic Society
Bristol has 45 bridges that span the main waterways of the city which can be crossed on foot. Is it possible to walk across all of them without crossing the same bridge twice? This is the question posed by the 300-year-old ‘Konigsberg Bridge’ problem in mathematics.www.bristolcivicsociety.org.uk
You mean other than the plan above for this Wed?Any social plans for a Bristol meet the next month or so? Id be keen.
