Table Tennis Tables In Brixton/Clapham

There's a free table tennis table at the Royal Oak near Clapham North. The bar provides bat and balls.
Good to know.

However, I went there the other day for the first time in years - very disappointed. It had been trendied-up with stipped wood flooring etc and had lost all its character. IIRC they had no real ale or cider. The boat race was on the telly REALLY LOUD and it was almost empty. We walked straight back out again. :(

Good news Brixton ping pong people! The First official meeting of Brixton ping pong society is in the back room of the Grosvenor this coming Tuesday 30th April...From around 8.30 expect the opportunity to make new friends over a game of ping pong, sample a few Indian snacks and contribute to discussions on subjects such as; Why ping pong? Where ping pong? Why playing ping pong whilst drinking alcohol! (though, of course each can be enjoyed responsibly without the other) And why are there no ping pong tables in Brockwell park? (something the society wants to change)
We look forward to seeing you there...

8.30 AM? Please say yes.

also Badgers

Is that an open invitation? :D

Well maybe for a select few... ;) we were thinking table tennis and cider - could be fun.

Have done the maths and one would just about fit in the garden. Sorely tempted.

yeah.. the only thing is, as we discovered, putting it up the other night - it needs to be completely level - so we may need to concrete over the grass... ;):D

We haven't had a chance to use it properly yet, we spent Friday evening building it and by the time it was up we could only play be camplight - which was fun but silly. obviously it rained last night, so couldn't play then. We need to work out optimum position for it. I'm half considering clearing all the kids' toys out of the room downstairs and turning it into a table tennis room instead over winter. :D
