I had a similar worry taking a guitar and lots of pedals and stuff abroad, they stuck some fragile stickers on it and said they'd be extra carefull, im sure they were. :rolleyes:
Still, it still all worked when we got there luckily.
 
i'm sending a whole load of my stuff for glasto down to the west country tonight . . . and i've just realised that i want most of it for italy (ok not the artic coat or the wellies :) ) but all my decent clothes. so i've chosen glasto over italy and all ym ok stuffs going there. if i look like a tramp in italy who cares eh, i never stood a chance against all those fashionable people anyways.

Exactomondo. 60 records, excluding my highly impractical but 20-megaton nuclear blast resistant record case, so probly more like 10. Damn.

I'll listen out for squeeling, SZC, if I can hear it above my own :)

They'll let you pay extra to take it in the hold, but they'll be anal about how much carry on baggage you can take - My suggestion is that if you are 'over' we could try to persuade them to 'share' the carry on allowances as I'm sure not everyone will be lugging 10k on as carry on.

I've got a soft bag, which means I really do need to keep it on me. I've seen people take way bigger bags as hand luggage, so fingers crossed. As long as you can get it into the overhead locker, it shouldn't be too bad.

That's not a bad idea... if everything goes tits-up then I might ask nicely if a few of my fellow passengers wouldn't mind carrying a few records in a plastic bag :)

Finishing off some work, then we are going to drop Mr Pig off at boot camp. Then back here to do some packing :)
