Not quite as good as Michael Rose, but not bad...

Walk pon the road me no trouble no one

Grandma grow me as a vegetarian

Go inna de field to dig some yam
Pick some corn, use it mek asham
School pickney come and get it fe nyam
Started to sing oh what a bam bam

CHORUS:
Look how me big look how me strong
Say me must live long
Look how me big look how me strong
Say me a vegetarian...

Hey thanks man I have found some amazing tracks in here.
No problem geez  #VegansReprezenting ;)

Macka B is a BEAST. I could post nearly all of his tracks in here but don't want to spam the thread, so I shall try to control myself.

I haven't been following the BLM protests closely as I have switched myself off from news media since lockdown, however I think this next song from 1987 appears to still be relevant today...

"Point me to a weak nation and I will show you a people abused, taken advantage of by others
Show me a weak race and I will show you a people and a nation reduced to peonage, serfdom and slavery
Show me me a well organized nation and I will show you a people and a nation respected by the world."

Organizing is the key.

On the 20th of February 1987 Clinton Mc Curbin in was murdered his killers are still at large
I am fed up with the fact when police kill a black they never seem to get charged

[CHORUS]
We've had enough, we've had enough ah hit, no
We've had enough ah hit, We've had enough ah hit
Nah tekkin no more
We've had enough, lord, we've had enough ah hit, ihee
We've had enough ah hit, We've had enough ah hit

Inna Wolverhampton there was a killing
Police murdered Clinton McCurbin
In a shop called Next is where the murder begin
They say a stolen credit card he was using

Before me carry on do some thinking
If you had a credit card which was stolen
And they tell you say wait let me do some checking
You nah go stand up in the shop like a dyamn dingaling

So why him never move and do some running
Well may be it was his or fe him idrin
You know the police will say anything
Because to them you are a thief if you have black skin

But anyway 2 dutty babylonian rush in
Jumped on the youth all a sit down pan him
Draw back his head and bust the youth neck string
And a kin fe dem teeth like them kill a chicken

He was only Young Lord what a sin
He should be walking around but he is in a coffin
They don't treat we as human being
So we better get together and do something

[CHORUS]

All over England it is happening,
At the hands of police blacks get a beating
Cherry Groce paralysed through police shooting
Them beat Trevor Mannerville and brain damage him

Cynthia Jarrett was another victim
Them push her down and kill her when them was raiding
They said Colin Roach shoot himself just for nothing
Keith Leonard the list is never ending

They gave three men life for the Blakelock killing
Convict the men before the trial did begin
Use them as scapegoats throw them in the bin
But when police kill a black man them nah do a thing

Me hate the beast them a get under me skin
Every time I see 1 I feel fe kuffm him
But me know that we have to do some organising
Because its war in Babylon and we a go win

[CHORUS]

Well the next could be you or it could be me
Could be your bredda, could be a auntie
Could be your friend, could be your pickney
So what we need now is solidarity

Some black man don't care cause their life cosy
But when police bust dem head who them run to nu we
Support one another give one unity
Physically, spiritually, and financially

Unity is strength organising is the key
That is why Babylon tries to separate we
But we are African children and we are mighty
We have to control our own destiny

So when it comes to business ah all ah we
When it comes to support then ah all ah we
If it comes to war then ah all of we
Then they might think twice before they kill we pickney

They take the chain of our foot but we are still don't free
Nuff of we under mental slavery
That is where you do not know yourself and your identity
You do not know your friend from your enemy

We people them a die in Africa daily
Babylon nah change so it's all down to we
Freedom and justice is our priority
Just listen to the words of Mosiah Garvey

"Point me to a weak nation and I will show you a people abused, taken advantage of by others
Show me a weak race and I will show you a people and a nation reduced to peonage, serfdom and slavery
Show me me a well organized nation and I will show you a people and a nation respected by the world."

Hey what a great track and very relevant to what's happening today. Had to stick this one in my playlist.

Bambu is a don 😎

Totally, and the rest of the LA Filipino hip-hop rappers/producers are completely brilliant. Bambu, Klassy and Ruby Ibarra particularly are spot on politically, and the production is wicked. Also this is all resonating with the current class war raging in the states.. and elsewhere .
