An American hunter who shot and killed a range of animals in South Africa's Kruger National Park last week and then shared her "kill shots" on Facebook, sparking a wave of criticism while the world was still recovering over the loss of Cecil the Lion, says she's not a "cold-hearted killer."

"Everybody just thinks we're cold-hearted killers, and it's not that," the woman, Sabrina Corgatelli, told Carson Daly on the Today Show. "There is a connection with the animal, and just because we hunt them doesn't mean we don't have a respect for them."

Of the giraffe, she added: "Giraffes are very dangerous animals. They could hurt you seriously very quickly."

Yes, I have seen her images online, sickening really, what brings people to say "such an amazing animal" and then to kill them! Beyond reasonable belief..

Shoot them with a camera!

Trophy & Canned Hunting must be banned and sooner rather than later.

There must be something wrong with their heads, I'll not say brain 'cos that could imply they have some intelligence.

No (printable) words to describe how much I detest this activity.

and Ted Striker - wonderful images !!
those are the best sort of shots at wildlife ...

I'm pretty sure there's very few giraffe in Idaho if she feels that intimidated she could just go home.
what she could do is set up her rifle on the tripod, sort out some sort of distance trigger and spatter her brains over her garage wall. might not bring the giraffe back but it would be the best use she could make of the gun.

Not sure if it applies in the states, but some companies / professions can have a broad interpretation of "bringing company/profession into disrepute"
ie behaving like a prize dick which then reflects badly on company / profession.

So, hopefully, her employer will take a dim view of trophy hunting and take some action.

The US has an "at will" employment model. You can be hired or fired based on any criteria whatsoever, except for things prohibited by law like race, gender, or religion.
Hmmm. :( We have a government pushing for the same model here. Tyranny of the boss. It's a strange kind of freedom.
