Not a whole lot. I suspect it's very worthy, and would be less necessary if high net worth individuals were tax resident in the country they purport to represent.

Whilst in no way unique to Hamilton (Button, Wiggins and Froome have all lived in tax havens, and indeed Rashford has a company to which his image rights money is paid), legal tax avoidance, by athletes and others, costs the UK state billions every year. Giving money, assets and time to subjectively worthy causes doesn't negate that, and indeed such people could often support these causes and be tax resident in the UK.
