Songs performed by Elton John that have any merit whatsoever

Rocket Man
Daniel
Goodbye Yellow Brick Road
I guess that's why they call it the blues
Your Song
Don't let the sun go down on me

All brilliant, what are you on about?
agree.
not so much 'I guess that's why they call it the blues', as it gives me the shits somehow.
there's plenty of great stuff by ej.

Excellent stuff - I can't say I have the emotional space for it now, but in the 70s his music was often a relief if you found yourself having to listen to daytime Radio 1.

I've been a fan since 1969, between then and now, he has produced some absolute gems, and some utter dross, in common with most musicians with a career of this length.

Individual tracks are almost too numerous to name. but:

60 Years on
Where to now St. Peter
Indian Sunset
Nikita
Love song
Holiday Inn
Tiny Dancer
Levon
Burn down the mission
Funeral for a friend/love lies bleeding (I used to play that whilst blazing along single track roads at insane speeds )
Your song

etc etc etc...

I am surprised no one has suggested this as his all time best.

I've got a lot of time for elton from when his voice was still good. Lately I've been enjoying the Dua Lipa song that samples two songs (cold cold heart, rocket man)
