Snooker 2024-25

Wow, I've never seen Trump play such a bad session. And it was before he missed that red into the middle in the second frame; his cue ball control was well out.

Wilson was very clinical, and you can tell the WC has given him a shot of confidence. I wouldn't put money on it, but could he break the Curse of the Crucible?

Yeah - Trump being down 7-1 is unknown territory.
I only saw the last frame and a half so wasn't sure if it was the case that Wilson was on fire or Trump was shit today. Sounds like the latter is true to some extent.

Trump was very poor in the first session, and I think came out in the evening knowing it was a matter of time.

Wilson was red hot with his accuracy in the first session, finding the middle of the pocket on almost every shot. He didn't really break-build, and stole two frames from Trump, but was cruising and seemed to be loving it. He seemed properly stoked in his post-match interview.

No chance. Least likely to do so for a ;ong time!
Really? Less likely than Luca, or Bingham?

In truth there haven't been that many first-time winners recently, just Robertson, Selby, Brecel, Trump, Bingham and Wilson in the last 15 years. Then again only Selby and O'Sullivan have successfully defended any WC since Hendry's hey-day.

O'Sullivan vs Xiao on now. O'Sullivan went three up (best of seven) without Xiao having scored a point :(

You'll never guess what happens next ....

Osullivan 3-0 up opponent not potted a ball comes back to win 4-3. Thats what happens when you havent played competative snooker for quite a while. Still a massive shock comeback though.

I didn't see it, but it can't be that rare in a best of seven. Get the one before the interval and it can change the whole psyche of the game.
