So you can make them accessible but most don't.

If you've ever tried to look at one on a mobile phone you'll have seen part of the problem. They don't reflow /scale/ adapt well for people who need text bigger for instance and unless you know what you're doing when you make them (which people largely don't) they're terrible for screen reader users.

Fundamentally they're a hangover from print because they force a particular visual format. Comrade Traynor is correct.

Death to the reactionary PDF! Forward to the glorious HTML revolution!
 
I thought this was Danny giving us a little pep talk letting us know we are looking pretty damn fine today.
 
Can PDF defenders, or anyone else, explain this?

I always just tell firefox to open everything in the browser, because why would you want things cluttering up your hard drive if they don't need to be there, whether they're pdfs or the accursed webp? But every few weeks this setting seems to reset itself and I have to go and change it again. What's all that about, eh?
