Flip flops give you freedom to lose your footwear trip over lacerate your feet and twist your ankle. It’s not safe to wear them to cycle or drive.

I dislike shoes but only for aesthetics.

We part company on this then. There is no more to be said. Not the end of the world! We both like deck shoes.

Well I started it and I would say absolutely not shoes with shorts unless they're walking/hiking boots or work boots

Deck shoes have a bad rap, they are good though.

Deck shoes are so weird. Like a horrific amalgamation between a Cornish pasty and a butchered bovine.

But beyond triggering aesthetics I don't really care what people wear on their feet as long as I don't have to see or think about their bare feet slipping and flapping about without socks blech. Leather shoes and no socks makes me feel queasy as do flip flops.

I favour beat up converse myself. Clearly my blotchy white legs have barely heard tell of the sun
