Love flip flops, closest to walking bare foot (which is also great) while reducing chance of dogshit or glass

I know what dessiato means, some awful deck or driving shoes or slip ons with chino shorts, but tbh nothing looks more tory. Especially with a long sleeve shirt, striped for extra magistrate having a barbecue look

Deckshoes, definitely with no socks, have to be ones with a thin sole, nothing horrid like green or blue or two-tone uppers, and definitely not with some weird commando sole like some Rockport ones. Ideally well-made by companies like Sperry, Sebago, Timberland, Chatham or the like, or even M&S.

You need to wade a few rivers or go swimming in them because they only stop looking wanky (in my view!) and get comfortable when they are a bit beat up and have shaped to your feet.

Penny loafers and other slip-ons are also a good look. For all sartorial hints look at photos of Steve McQueen, no other source is to be trusted

Also, driving shoes don't cut in to the carpets or mats like the heel of an ordinary shoe does. Not that I have any.

What shoes to wear with shorts depends on type, length and colour of shorts, which can sometimes look smart.
shorts for work is a no for me. I received a written warning for this crime a while ago.
what about heels with shorts?
