Mind you.....a ham cooked in coca cola (yes I do realise it sounds truly horrendous) is fecking gorgeous....caramelised and deliciously tasty and still tastes like excellent ham...

It's is rather good. I like to finish by baking it honey, mustard and chilli.

Yes I have also tried that and can confirm it is delicious. Just don't brine pork chops over night. Trust me on that!

I think danny la rouge's dad counts as "chef with a reputation" around these parts. All we have to do it put it into a recipe book and pilchard puffs will win the day.

To be honest, I found the shredded wheat "croutons" even funnier than the pilchard puffs!
